#fediblock tag has the bullshit stuff

I was browsing the Fediverse to see if there was an instance I could add to my blocklist. I scrolled through a lot of posts, but most of what I saw was people reporting accounts for homophobia and other issues.

When I first joined the Fediverse in 2023, #fediblock was a good place to report things. But over time, I feel like things changed. When Oliphant started his account, along with Pelago and the community-based reporting system, the whole situation started to feel different. It went from reporting things to actually bringing those reports to other people and getting them to do something about it.

I've seen people say that #fediblock was at its best when a new admin joined the tag and started commenting on reports or actually taking action. And honestly, I can see why people liked that.

I might be wrong about some of this, but before I even joined the Fediverse, people in my friend group told me not to join because it had the most toxic community ever seen by mankind. I didn't really understand what they meant back then. It wasn't until I joined in 2023 that I started seeing what they were talking about.

As you may already know, a lot of negative things have happened on Mastodon. There is a lot to talk about when it comes to the bad side of the Fediverse, and I know some people are probably going to read this and ask me, why am I still here?
